Glenn R. Bower Sr., 87, of Big Prairie, died Friday, April 17, 2015 at Samaritan Regional Hospital, in Ashland.
Friends may call Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Services will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Lawson officiating. Glenn was born August 30, 1927 in Chester Township, Ohio to Charles Orlan and Elizabeth Bell {Imhoff} Bower.
He married Pauline L. (Wohlgamuth) on August 2, 1948. She passed on December 8, 2000.
He retired from Rubbermaid after 39 years and worked as truck driver picking up canned milk at farms throughout Wayne and Holmes County. He was member of the Mohican Church of the Brethren. He enjoyed reading, taking drives and spending time with his family.
Glenn will be deeply missed by children Nancy Kennedy of Norfolk, VA, Glenn (Shelley) Bower Jr., Linda (Richard) Smith all of Shreve, Charles (Jennie) Bower of Wooster and Patti Bower of Big Prairie; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; sister Buelah "Boots" (Bush) Bowman.
Glenn was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline, of 52 years; daughter Mary (Frank) Cronin; great-grandsons Jacob and Justin Endslow and brothers; Lester, Roy and Dana.
