Pete was born December 28, 1927 in Doylestown to Sebastian and Dortha {Shane} Drouhard.
Pete was a patriot. He served in the United States Army as a corporal of Artillery during the Korean War from 1950 to 1952 and was honorably discharged in 1956. While on active duty he served as a guard at the White House. Pete was fond of telling about when he manned a machine gun on the roof of the White House. He always chuckled when telling about the time a civilian airplane strayed into restricted airspace, "I had him in my sights the whole time."
Pete retired from the International Paper Company in Wooster. He loved the outdoors, enjoyed farming and was especially fond of hunting rabbit and raccoon with his dogs. He loved country music and enjoyed the trips made to Renfro Valley with his best friend Doyle Young.
Pete will be deeply missed by his family; brothers Richard (Genie) Drouhard and Frank Drouhard both of Wooster; many nieces and nephews; good friends Doyle and Doris Young; loved ones Sid Williamson of Florida, Sierra Williamson of Wooster, Daniel Williamson of Oregon and Mike Williamson of Michigan.
Glenn was preceded in death by his wives, Vergie {Haven} Drouhard and Donna {Saunders} Drouhard, brothers Floyd (Iona) Drouhard, Robert (Anna) Drouhard, Larry (Mary) Drouhard, sisters Bernice (Harold) Barker, Maxine (James) Wright, sister-in-law Donna Drouhard, loved one Carl Williamson.
The family would like to thank West View Healthy Living and LifeCare Hospice for their wonderful and loving care they gave to Pete.
What I Call A Friend
Author Unknown
One whose grip is a little tighter
One whose smile is a little brighter
One whose deeds are a little whiter
That's what I call a friend.
One who'll lend as quick as borrow
One who's the same today as tomorrow
One who'll share your joy and your sorrow
That what I call a friend.
One whose thoughts are a little cleaner
One whose mind is a little keener
One who avoids things that are meaner
That's what I call a friend
One who's been fine when life seemed rotten
One whose ideals you've not forgotten
One who has given you more than he's gotten
That's what I call a friend.
