Golda M. Bowman, 86, of Wooster, died Monday, September 17, 2012 at her residence.
Friends may call Friday from 10 to 11 am at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Services will be Friday at 11 am at the funeral home with Pastor Eric Fairhurst officiating. Golda was born April 30, 1926 in Reedsburg, Ohio to David and Mary {Bowersock} Jacobs. She married Gerald J. Bowman on April 18, 1948.
Golda retired in 1990 from Freedlander's Department Store after 40 years. She enjoyed gardening and fishing and attended the Burbank United Methodist Church.
Golda will be deeply missed by her sister-in-law JoAnn Bowman, nieces Linda Schmidt, Debbie (Randy) Zitko, Carol (Bill) Gerber, Diana (Don) Spring, Barbara (Bill) Glenny, Christine (Gary) Cogar; many great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
Golda was preceded in death by her husband Gerald, her brother Ralph Jacobs, and sisters Evelyn Fodor and Dorothy Marting.
