Gregory Richard Steele II

Gregory Richard Steele II, 56, of Wooster, Ohio, passed away December 28, 2024 from a short, but courageous battle with cancer. 

He was born to Gregory “Red” Steele I and Peggy Steele (Christopher) in Wooster, Ohio.

Gregory was a loving husband and father. He was a sub-contractor carpet installer for many years. When he retired from carpet he worked at Best Western Plus in Wooster, Ohio as a maintenance supervisor. Gregory was a jack of all trades. He could fix anything. 

Gregory is survived by his wife Stacy of 32 years; 2 sons Owen and Craig Steele; father Gregory “Red” Steele I; stepmother Barbara Steele (Hite) of Shreve; mother-in-law Janet Gray of Navarre; sister Sherry Steele (Warden); brother Shawn Hite, aunt Robin Steele (Biddle). Gregory has 3 grandchildren that he loved to the moon and back Logan Steele, Lilly Steele, and Charolette Wright Steele (Charlie) all of Idaho. He has many nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Gregory was preceded in death by his mother Peggy Christopher; uncles Nick Steele, Johnny Steele; and his favorite uncle Jeffrey Steele; and grandparents Robert and Vivian Steele.
