H. Jeff Ward, 47, of Ashland, passed away unexpectedly after a short illness Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at The Cleveland Clinic, in Cleveland.
Jeff was born April 20, 1968 to Homer and Loretta {Porter} Ward, and lived in Ashland all his life.
He graduated from Ashland High School in 1986.
He coached Hillsdale softball and The Ohio Lady Warriors traveling softball team. He enjoyed playing softball for many years. Jeff was an active pitcher in the mens Ashland Fast Pitch league. He enjoyed darts, bowling, and casino road trips with friends and family. He worked For Ashland County Memorial Park for over thirteen years.
Jeff will be deeply missed by his children Derek, Racquel Ward of Ashland; mother of his children Kristie Ward; brother Dan (Christy) Ward; nephew Rhett and niece Abbie.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel, Ashland. Funeral services will be Saturday at 3 pm at the funeral home with Pastor John Bouquet officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Roberts Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses.
