Harriet Monahan, 84, of Wooster, died Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at West View Manor.
Friends may call Tuesday from 2 to 3 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Black officiating. Harriet was born March 17, 1930 in Wooster, OH to Howard and Cora {Aiken} Crater.
Harriet graduated from Wooster High School in 1948. She went to Grant Hospital and graduated as a registered nurse.
She married Laurence "Larry" Paul on February 9, 1951. He died on November 19, 2012.
Harriet worked at Wooster Hospital and retired from Horn Nursing Home after 29 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. She was an avid lover of animals and enjoyed gardening. Harriet was very loving and caring and devoted to her family.
Harriet will be deeply missed by children Laura (Terry) Myatt, David (Linda) Monahan, Richard Monahan, Dennis (Janet) Monahan all of Wooster and Susie (Rich) Cavins of Benld, IL; grandchildren Tim, Scot, Jonathan, Matthew, April, Sarah, and Cindy; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers George (Barbara) Crater of Seattle, WA, Jerry (Vivian) Crater of Chandler, AZ and Jim (Charlotte) Crater of Moreland; sister Phyllis (Frank) Kudika of Wooster.
Harriet was preceded in death by her husband, Larry, of 61 years and son Mark.
