Hazel Maxine Griffith, 72, of Seville, departed from her earthly home, Friday, September 20, 2019, after a long illness and went to be in the loving arms of her Heavenly Father.
Hazel was born November 9, 1946 in Valley Fork, West Virginia to Waunie and Kate {West} Hanshaw.
She married Dale Griffith on March 8, 1968.
Hazel worked many years as a nurse’s aide at Medina General Hospital. She also worked at Meadow View Care Center.
Hazel will be deeply missed by her husband of over 51 years; brothers Charles (Rosemary) Hanshaw of Fredericksburg and David (Marie) Hanshaw of Valley Fork, WV; sisters Mary Lou (Joe) Summers of Wallback, WV, Agnes Perkins of Maysel, WV, Phyllis Hanshaw of Clay, WV, Sharon (Rocky) Boggs of Valley Fork, WV, Ruth (Dan) Webster of Sullivan.
Hazel was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Aimee Beth, brother Dana Hanshaw, and sister Shirley Jett.
Friends may call Tuesday from 12 to 2 p.m. at Canaan Free Will Baptist Church in Creston. Services will follow at 2 p.m. at the church with Pastor Mike Gladson officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
I Cor. Is known as the love chapter. It says that the greatest to be desired is charity, which is love. Hazel possessed in abundance this gift of love and caring for others. Her passing leaves a tremendous void in the lives of those who cherished her.
