Heidi G Emler

Heidemarie G. Emler, 71, of Wooster, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at her home following a period of declining health.

Heidi was born July 28, 1952 in Bischbrunn Bristol Kreis Markteidenfeld, West Germany to Guenter and Herta {Bopp} Naschinski. She graduated from high school in Aschaffenburg in 1968.

She married Karl T. Emler on February 8, 1969 at Evangelisch Lutheran Church, Aschaffenburg, West Germany. He survives. 

They lived in Augsburg and moved from there to Wooster in 1970. Heidi worked at the Regal Wear facility from March 1973 to March of 1991 when Regal Wear closed their Wooster Facility. She also worked at J.C. Penny’s from 1997 to 2002. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Wooster. She enjoyed watching her son and granddaughter playing basketball and volleyball for many years. Heidi also enjoyed needle point and crocheting.

Heidi will be deeply missed by her husband of 55 years; son Christoph T. (Amy) Emler of Orrville; granddaughter Allison O. (Gavin) Posey of Ashland; sister Ulrike (Ted) Madison of Colorado Springs, CO. 

Heidi was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Charlotte Kiel, Irene Schmit, and Edith (Ray) Nold.

Friends may call Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Wooster. Services will follow at 11 a.m. at the Church (and livestreamed at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com/obituaries/Heidi-Emler) with Pastor Marty Jacobson officiating. Interment will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Words of comfort may be shared at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
