Helen S. Chapman, 84, of Wooster, died November 19, 2012 at West View Manor.
Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Services will be Wednesday at 2 pm at Wayne Presbyterian Church, 7152 Burbank Rd., Wooster with Pastor Eric Fairhurst officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Buial Gardens. Helen was born February 20, 1928 in Shreve to Calvin and Hazel {Yockey} Shriver.
She was valedictorian of Shreve High School, where she graduated in 1946.
She married Glenn Chapman on December 24, 1949.
Helen worked for Freedlanders. She was a member of Wayne Presbyterian Church for more than 50 years. She was involved in a bible study group, wrote to a penpal for 68 years, she enjoyed taking care of her family. Helen showed love to her extensive family through birthday and anniversary cards.
Helen will be deeply missed by her children Sharman (Jeff) Chapman-Crane of Eolia Ky, Michelle (Harold) Mong of Jeromesville Oh, Bruce (Suzanne`) Chapman of Wooster; grandchildren Joseph Mong, Kayleina Mong, Evan Chapman-Crane, Ellen Chapman, Andrea Chapman; brother Glenn Shriver of Jeromesville; sister June Foltz of West Salem, extended family Paul (Sharlene) Rawn, Brad (Teri) Rawn, Michelle (Mark) S , Sylvia Barker of the UK
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, parents, infant daughter Lynette, brothers Lloyd and Wayne Shriver, sister Esther Bowman.
