Helene J. Romey, 91, of Mansfield, died Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at the Lexington Court Care Center.
Helene was born September 1, 1923 in Toronto, OH to Arthur and Edith {Stock} Devlin. She lived in Steubenville for most of her life and spent years in St. Petersburg, FL.
She married Thomas Romey.
Helene worked at Kresge's (K-Mart) as a clerk for over 20 years. She was a member Assembly of God in Toronto. Helene loved to crochet and spend time with her family.
Helene will be deeply missed by her children Marjorie Steel of Mansfield, Rebecca (Steve Tonne) Gilmore of Dayton and James Clutter of Salem; grandchildren Tracy Ertz, Regina (Steven) Machnicki and Tessie (Joe) Lutz; great-grandchildren Paige, Steven, Tiffany and Luke; brothers Thomas (Grace) Devlin and William (Mary Lou) Devlin; sisters Doris Risner and Betty Crawford.
Helene was preceded in death by her parents, brother James Devlin, and two nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Memorial Park in the mausoleum chapel with Pastor Keith E. Carlisle officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m. Burial will be at Oak Grove Memorial Park.
