Herbert Henry Hach, 91, of Wadsworth, died Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Akron City Hospital.
Herbert was born July 14, 1925 in Medina, Ohio to Walter F. and Lyra {Poffenberger} Hach.
Herbert served in the United States Navy during World War II for almost three years.
He first married Mary Jane in 1948, she passed away in 1953. Then he married Gladys Osborn on November 26, 1954. She passed away May 14, 2004.
Herbert worked in the plumbing and heating field being self-employed for 33 years until his retirement in 1992. He was a board member of a ministry called Morning Star. Herbert had a 1992 Dodge Cummins truck which he enjoyed driving and polishing. Herbert also enjoyed spending time with his family and walking. He was never a stranger to anyone, being known for his great sense of humor, outlook on life and unforgettable smile.
Herbert will be deeply missed by his children Delores Ann (Gerald) Drabenstat of Wooster, Judy K. (Gaetan) Rock of Wadsworth, Thomas R. Hach of Columbus, Leland J. (Peggy) Hach of Pine Bush, NY, and Sandra Fay (John) Schooling of Doylestown; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; two nieces; a special friend Ruth Hartley.
Herbert was preceded in death by his wives Mary Jane of five years and Gladys of 49 years, brothers Stewart and Edward, and a sister Julia Hach.
Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, Seville. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Terry Bowers officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be held.
