Hilda Flory

Hilda E. Flory, 96, of Wooster, died Thursday, July 1, 2021, at Danbury of Wooster.

Friends may call Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster.  Services will follow at 11 am at the funeral home with Pastor Daron Butler officiating.  Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster.   Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.   Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.

Hilda was born September 16, 1924, in Wooster to Irvin Otto and Ada Irene {Muir} Swanson.

She graduated from Chester High School and married Arthur Paul Flory on December 10, 1946.  He died in 1999.

Hilda was a homemaker, raising her three children.  She was a member of the Smithville Brethren Church and enjoyed sewing, reading, spending time outdoors, gardening, and spending time with her family.

Hilda will be deeply missed by her children Alvin W. (Lynn) Flory of Portland, OR, Janet E. (John) Rittenhouse of Wooster and daughter-in-law Teresa Flory of Smithville; grandchildren Christy (Scott) Sparr, Michelle (Gary) Baumgardner; great-grandchildren Nick Sparr and Brayden Baumgardner, nieces and nephews.

Hilda was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur, a son Randal P. Flory, brother John Swanson, and sister Trulah Griffin.
