Howard F. Jollay, 86, of Ashland, died Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at the Good Shepard Nursing Home.
Howard was born July 26, 1927 in Atlanta, GA to Howard Hubert and Nannie Lou {Brown} Jollay.
Howard was in the U.S. Navy and served in WWII.
He married Doris Jean (Harmon) on May 25, 1947. She survives.
Howard worked at General Motors as an inspector for 36 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in New London. Howard enjoyed golfing and gardening.
Howard will be deeply missed by his wife, Doris, of 67 years; children David L. (Judy) Jollay of Mansfield, Gary W. (Donna) Jollay of Ashland, Dianne L. (Jody) Barr of Ashland and Ken A. (Amanda) Jollay of Nankin; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call Monday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel, Ashland. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Moore officiating. Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park, where military rites will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church at 432 Park Avenue, New London, OH 44851.
