Hubert Edward Drysdale, 69, of Wooster, died November 28, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his family.
Friends may call Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Owens Swartzentruber and Pastor Travis McKenzie officiating. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com. Hubert was born December 6, 1944 in Cowen, WV to Van Buren and Bessie Naomi {Brady} Drysdale.
He graduated from Cowen High School in 1964.
He married Opal Riffle on May 30, 1965.
Hubert worked for his brother-in-law as a tractor mechanic at McIlvaine and worked with his brother at D & C Tractor in West Salem. He enjoyed fishing and working on tractors.
Hubert will be deeply missed by his wife Opal of 49 years; children Patty Smith, Linda Drysdale; grandchildren Kevin Wise, Clayton Smith, Andrea Gortner; sisters Louise McIlvaine of Wooster, Lois Combs of Wooster, and Madeline Keith of Cynthiana, KY, sister-in-law Cheryl Drysdale, and many nieces and nephews.
Hubert was preceded in death by his brother Daniel Drysdale and his parents.
