Ira W. Rider Jr., 94, of Orrville, died Thursday, September 10, 2015 surrounded by his family at Shadylawn, in Dalton. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to LifeCare Hospice.
Ira was born August 3, 1921 in Marion County, Ohio to Ira W. and Hazel D. {Hickman} Rider.
Ira served in World War II for the United States Army.
He married Lucille Ewing on July 26, 1942.
He worked as the Co-owner of Rider Incorporated. Ira enjoyed spending time with his family
Ira will be deeply missed by; children James E. (Cheryl) Rider of Dallas, Texas, Edwin H. (Betty) Rider of Wooster, Jeffrey C. (Patricia) Rider of Melbourne Beach Florida and Sally (Dennis) Curtis of Orrville; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
Ira was preceded in death by his beloved wife, a grandson, and his sister Betty Crosby.
