Irwin was born on the 10th day of February in 1962 in Warren Ohio. He is the son of Mother Ruth Ann and stepfather Delford Lambert and Father Irwin Vaughn Miner.
Our Pop was the ultimate family man who was a hard worker and often worked long hours on the road as a Semi Truck Driver to provide for his 4 children who he felt were his greatest accomplishments.
Irwin was a very giving man who wouldn’t hesitate to give the shirt off of his back or be the shoulder to lean on when in need, he had a heart of gold. He was also one of the strongest men we ever knew. Irwin was given a second chance at life in 1991 when he had a near fatal fall from an 80 foot silo. After the survival of that incident, he was given by the grace of god 20 plus more years of life. Irwin fulfilled those years by watching his 4 children grow up to be adults and was able to become the best Pop to his 6 grand babies which he loved and cherished with his whole heart.
Pop had a great sense of humor and was full of wisdom he never let anything keep him down for long. One of his favorite sayings he said was "You have to keep your sense of humor with you no matter where you go, Cause you never know when you might need it"
Above all else our Pop was a good man in a world full of not so good men and we were blessed to call him ours.
Irwin by far will be sorely missed by all he came in contact with especially his children and grandchildren. One thing is certain, not even a lifetime was long enough.
His final statement before his passing was this:
"Sometimes when bad things happen it makes the good things seem not so good, but they’re still good. And that’s a fact. "
Irwin is survived by both of his parents, his 4 children Autumn (Matthew) Zilko, Brittany (Zachariah) Mays, Caleb Miner, and Destiny Miner; brothers Bob (Lynne) Miner, Roger Miner, Dean (Mary) Smith and Dale (Linda) Smith; sisters Robin Miner, Kimberlee (Scott) Bates, and Tracy Kemmer; grandchildren Jayden , Londynn, Aveyon, Cael , Indie , and Drew; aunts Janet (Floyd) Overly, Nancy ( Larry) Fisher, Louise (Larry) Yockey, Karen (Rick) VanDyne, Barb (Mickey) Strothers and uncle Paul (Millie) Lomas. Numerous Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.
He was Proceeded in death by his cousin Jimmy Morris; Grandparents Paul and Gertie Lomas; brother Darrell Smith; best friend Doug Casey; and his favorite dogs Jaws and Pugsley.
