James Robert Belcher, 73, of Shreve, died Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Affinity Medical Center, in Massillon.
Services will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster with Rev. Wendell Sinclair officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 2 to 3 p.m. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Roberts Funeral Home to help defray funeral costs.
James was born July 16, 1942 in Elkview, West Virginia.
He married Flora Ann {Fowler} in July of 1963. She passed on September 16, 1970.
James retired from Shreve Manufacturing in 2008. He attended Highland Church of God in Wooster. James had a love for blue grass music, attending festivals and playing with his friends. He played many string instruments in his spare time.
James will be deeply missed by his daughter Angela (Jerry) Stroup of Shreve; sister-in-law Betty (Dean) Bowman; special friend Mary Troyer and family.
James was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Flora, brother Walter.
