James S. Conover, 78, of Rittman, died Friday, January 13, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was born June 10, 1938 in Seville to Henry and Ruth {Young-Baker} Conover.
James graduated from Wadsworth High School in 1956.
He married Phyllis "Cookie" Workman on August 23, 1957, still keeping close till her death. Then he married Susanne Walters, she passed away in 1971. James married Geraldine Dunkle in 1972 and she survives.
James worked at Conflow until their closing and then retired from Technocast in Orrville. He enjoyed train trips, bluegrass music, traveling, and was known to be an avid fan of all Ohio sports. James especially loved to spend time with his family.
James will be deeply missed by his wife Geraldine; children Christine (John) Bricker of Rittman, Lisa (Richard) Laux of Wadsworth, Taya Comer of Doylestown, Blossom (Ken) Patterson of Marshallville and Loretta (Mickey) Carpenter of Wadsworth; seventeen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers John Conover of Wadsworth, Jere Conover of Maryland and Jack (Jane) Conover of Malvern.
James was preceded in death by his wives Phyllis and Susanne and a brother Ted Conover.
Services will be Wednesday at 12 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, Seville with Don Bolich officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Garden.
