James "Jim" Franklin Hart

James “Jim” Franklin Hart, 85, of Wooster, died July 6, 2024 at Ohio’s LifeCare Hospice, in Wooster.

Jim was born July 24, 1938 in Mannington, WV to Arnold and Naomi {Barker} Hart.

He married Deanna Webb on August 26, 1995. 

Jim was a machinist at Akron Brass where he retired in 1993 after 35 years. He painted almost every house and barn in the Triway District, and he had a paper route in Holmes County. Jim was an avid golfer, where he had achieved 4 aces, and he also loved to bowl.

Jim will be deeply missed by his wife Deanna; children Kathy (Lee) Ridenour, James Hart, and Joe (Rochelle) Hart; step-son John (Sarah) Donahue; grandsons Josh Hart and Jacob Hart; great-granddaughter Savanah Hart; and brother Lester Hart.

Friends may call Thursday July 11 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Private funeral services will be held at the funeral home. Jim is leaving a legacy of integrity, faithfully loving his wife and family, concern for others, showing courage in whatever his circumstances. His smile touched your heart and you would never forget it. If you knew him you were blessed.
