James Michael Lawless, 65, Rittman, went to be with the Lord Monday, February 22, 2016 after a long battle with heart disease.
James was born August 21, 1950 in Worcester, MA to Thomas and Helen (Monahan) Lawless. A graduate of North High School in Akron, Ohio, James earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Gallaudet University in 1972. He married his high school sweetheart, the late Jacqueline (Colletti) Lawless, in 1971 and was remarried to Virginia (Fenner) Lawless in 2010 with whom he celebrated life until his passing.
James retired from Lockheed Martin in 2010. He regularly attended North Fairfield Assembly of God. He enjoyed traveling and spending quality time with friends and family. His joyous spirit, kind heart, infectious laugh, and fierce loyalty to those he loved will be dearly missed and deeply cherished by all who knew him.
James is survived by his wife; children Jonathan (Julia) Lawless of Washington, DC, Jeanette (John) Holmer of Cincinnati, OH, Juliette Lawless of Fairlawn, OH; grandchildren Audrey, Kylie, Colton, Maeve; numerous step-children and grandchildren; and brother Bernard Lawless of Canyon Lake, TX.
Friends may call Friday from 4 to 8 pm at Roberts Funeral Home- Hillcrest Chapel, Seville. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Heart Association, www.Heart.org.
