James Light

James D. Light, 77, of Wadsworth, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Regency Select in Barberton Hospital.
He was born April 13, 1937 in Gilmer, Texas to C. E. and Inez {Gibson} Light.
James married Bernadette {Huhn} on October 24, 1959. They were married for 51 years, she died previously on December 12, 2010.
James worked for Tri State Steel for over 35 years. He was a member of Iron Workers Local #17. James belonged to the Wadsworth and Copley Hunt Club. He was also a member of Wadsworth Masonic Lodge #385. He loved to go hunting, fishing and gardening.
James will be deeply missed by his children Jimmy (Sara) Light of Newark, Tommy (Lisa) Light of Rittman, Kenny (Holly) Light of West Salem, Becky (Mark) Blackburn of Wadsworth; grandchildren Joey, Heather, Allie, Jamie and Andrea Light, Kendra, Devan, J.D. and Morgan Blackburn; great-grandchildren Dannika and Carmin Blackburn, and Kateri Light; brother Buddy (Carol) Light of Ringold, LA.
James was preceded in death by his wife, Bernadette, of 51 years, and 7 brothers and sisters.
Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, Seville. Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Carter officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society at P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123
