James Reed

James “Dean” Reed, 63, of Wooster, died Sunday, March 28, 2021 at his residence from complications of Early Onset Alzheimers.

Dean was born March 24, 1958 in Ashland, Ohio to Howard L. and Barbara K. {Johnston} Reed.

He graduated from Northwestern High School in 1976.

Dean married Margaret Patton on August 25, 1979.

He was employed by Smith Dairy in various positions for over 37 years . Dean was a member of Orrville Christian Church for over 25 years, where he served in many capacities, including computer technician, deacon and children’s ministries. He loved bicycling, woodworking and camping.

Dean will be deeply missed by his wife; children Amanda (Chuck) Conway of Wooster, Jason Reed of Canterbury, Kent, UK and Heather Reed of Massillon; granddaughter Arayah Nussbaum; parents of West Salem; brothers Ronald (Deb) Reed of Wooster, Gary (Faye) Reed of Wooster, and Brian (Judy) Reed of West Salem; sisters Anita (Dave) Peters of Orrville, Julie (Tom) Ferguson of West Salem; and many nieces and nephews.

Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster is assisting the family.  Private services will be held at the funeral home with Pastor Tom Ledford officiating.
