James Stark

James “Harry” William Stark, 58, of Marietta, passed Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Marietta Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family.

Jim was born January 13, 1961 in Marietta, Ohio to Bill and Norma Stark.

He was a 1979 graduate of Fort Frye High School and Washington County Career Center.

He married Mary Haught on September 1, 1979.

He worked for Heiss Plumbing and Electric for 40 years. He was an active member of the Marietta Elks Lodge 477. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren.

Jim will be deeply missed by his wife Mary; his daughters Stephanie (Paul) Wellard and Nicole (Eric) Brown; grandchildren Alex Brown, Owen Brown, Noah Wellard and Olivia Wellard; sisters Faye (Dean) Wolfert, Becky (Hank) McNabb, Debbie (Roger) Miller and Missy (Craig) Barth; several nieces and nephews and his dog Cowboy.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Kelli Cawley and the nursing staff at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

Friends may call Sunday, May 5th from 4 to 7 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-East Lawn Chapel, 27880 St. Rt. 7, Marietta.  Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Dr. Robert Hughes officiating.  Burial will be at Valley Cemetery.
