James E. Wallace, 72, of Wooster, died Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at the Wooster Community Hospital.
Friends may call Wednesday, June 24 from 12 to 1 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Services will follow at 1pm with Rev Lee Anderson officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
James was born March 29, 1943 in Prattville, Alabama to Ebb and Lucille {Woods} Wallace. In his early 20's, he moved to Cincinnati to work for a construction company. In 1968, James moved to Wooster and married Rosalene Young on June 10, 1972. She survives.
James worked for the Gerstenslager Company for many years, and owned a semi truck washing company. He retired March 2009. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. James will be deeply missed by his children Brenda (Paul) White and Jimmie Wallace all of Cincinnati, and Norman Wallace of Wooster; 12 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings Minnie Morris of Louisvile, KY and Rosezell (Alice) Wallace of Cincinnati, a host of nieces and nephews; special friends Melissa Green and her children.
James was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Rose Lee Bailey, Catherine McCants, and Emma Falkner; brothers Jessie Wallace, Charlie Wallace, Leon Wallace, and J.B. Wallace.
