Jane Louise Steel, 70, of Ashland, died Friday, January 19, 2018 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.
Jane was born May 3, 1947 in Ashland to Victor Raymond and Helen Marie {Brown} Fulk.
She graduated from Mansfield General Hospital School of Nursing.
She married Carter Steel on September 30, 1967.
Jane retired from Heritage Park Nursing and Rehab. She was a member of Savannah United Methodist Church. Jane was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and the Savannah Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She was known for decorating cookies and enjoyed volunteering for all the organizations she was involved in.
Jane will be deeply missed by her husband of 50 years; daughter Kimberly M. Steel (Gayle) of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren Kai and Kolton Steel; mother Helen Fulk-Ewbank of Ashland; brother James (Linda) Fulk of Ashland; sister Nancy (Kevin) Bright of Michigan; sister-in-law Garnet (Dave) Hoover of Shelby: numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jane was preceded in death by her father Victor and in-laws Elvin and Garnet Steel.
Friends may call Tuesday from 10 to 12 p.m. at Savannah United Methodist Church, 10 W. Main St, Savannah. Funeral services will follow at 12 p.m. at the church with Pastor Johnnie Swan officiating.
