Janice (Jan) E Williams

Janice (Jan) Eileen Williams, 82, of Mount Vernon, OH, passed away Sunday, May 5^th, 2024, at Galion Avita Hospital, in Galion, OH.

Jan was born November 21^st, 1941, in Mount Vernon, OH to John Nathan and Olive {Smith} West.

She graduated from Mount Vernon High School, in 1961 and was a lifelong resident.  She worked at Walker Greenhouse, Ohio Eastern Star, Concepts in community living and finally at Walmart as a baker where she retired.   Jan was a member of the South Vernon United Methodist. She liked to crochet and loved animals, especially her beloved dogs Fritzi and Hunter. Jan loved her family and friends.  Hanging out with grandkids became her favorite pastime.  She loved the outdoors, camping, even just sitting on the porch and tanning.   Jan loved spending money on everyone else and completing crossword puzzles. She was a good cook even making homemade noodles, just throwing everything together and it would come out great.   

Jan will be deeply missed by her family and friends, her children Jeff Williams, Tammy (Michael) Bowers; grandchildren Jeffery (Rebecca) Williams II, Stephanie (Darren) Heuss, Garrett (Ashley) Bowers, James (Courtney) Oswalt, Jacob (Lydia) Bowers; nine great-grandchildren; brothers William (Betty) West, Richard (Cindy) West, nephew Randy Ketter as well as other many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.  

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, brother Charles West, John West, and sister Lynn Ketter.
