Janila Theobald

Janila Joan Theobald, 79, of Newport, went to her heavenly home Tuesday, April 3, 2018.

She was born November 7, 1938 in Dart, Ohio to John and Norma Hall.

Janila married Robert Theobald on April 26, 1959.

She worked briefly as a secretary for Broughton’s and as a cashier for IGA. Janila was active in the Lawrence and Newport Baptist Churches. She also enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family.

Janila will be deeply missed by her children Darren (Carllene) Theobald, Jana (Steven) Sims, Tonda (Dave) Lamp and Karina Carpenter (Travis Rinard); grandchildren Bobby Theobald, Josh Theobald (Ashley Dragoo), Megan Coss (Derick Russell), Brittany (Jordan) Coffman, Brooke Sims (Jeremy Ayers), Marissa Sims, Brennan (Kayla) Lamp, Shayla Lamp (Evan Michael), Mitchell McKay (Lexi Felton), Makayla Carpenter; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Patty Hall and Sharon Hess.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert and her brothers Charles Eugene Hall and Howard Hall.

Friends may call Friday, April 6th from 4 to 8 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-East Lawn Chapel, 27880 St. Rt. 7, Marietta.  Funeral services will be Saturday at noon at the funeral home with Pastor James Sims officiating.  Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Park.
