Jeanette Lee {Borer} Thrall, 79, of Ashland, died Monday, January 28, 2019 at her home.
She was born October 16, 1939 in Elyria to Leo Henry and Lucille Leola {Lapp} Borer.
Jeanette graduated first from The Ohio State University, then Marygrove College, where she earned her Master’s in teaching.
She married Dennis R. Thrall on March 31, 2001. He survives.
Jeanette was an elementary school teacher in her hometown of Elyria, OH, Amarillo, TX, and Ashland, OH, retiring after 25 years. She was a lifetime member of the National Education Association, and of the Ohio Education Association. Jeanette served as the President of the Ashland City Teacher’s Association for two years, and as Building Representative for several years, as well. She loved to travel and spend time with her grandchildren.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, children Steven (Kathy) Foster of Portland, OR, Rebecca (Dea) Shaffer-Gentner of Dublin, OH, Celeste Lamberton of Canal Winchester, OH; daughter-in-law Gina Fe Foster; grandchildren Nicole, Katy, Hayden, Brooke, Owen, and Josey; brother Thomas (Sandra) Shuster of Fostoria, OH.
Jeanette was preceded in death by all of her parents, including Walter (Mary Jane) Shuster, and son David Foster.
Friends may call Saturday from 2 to 3 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel. Services will be follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Delaine McGhee officiating. Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park. In honor of Jeanette’s love for all things Notre Dame, she asked that everyone wear Notre Dame colors or gear to the service.
