Jeannette Hendrix

W. Jeannette Hendrix, 92, of Wooster, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare.

Jeannette was born May 13, 1932, in Cameron, OH to Joseph and Dorothy {Hartline} Minder.

She married Denzil Hendrix on October 31, 1955. He died November 15, 2003.

Jeannette worked at Apple Creek Developmental Center as a Therapeutic Program Worker for 26 years, retiring in 1994. The friendships she created lasted until her passing. She had numerous hobbies but the most important thing in her life was her family.

She is survived by sons Denny (Deb) Hendrix of Apple Creek, Joey Hendrix and Jon Hendrix both of Wooster and daughter Debbie Lake of Shreve. Grandchildren Josh Hendrix, Jamie Horst, Bambi Hendrix, Jarred Hendrix, Alyssia Hendrix, Scotie Lake, Steven Lake, Shawna Lake, and Sierria Lake. She is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren. Jeannette also considered Vickie, Colton, and Ashton Dutter part of her family. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son in law Scot Lake, and a special cousin Joey Minder.

Friends may visit Monday, December 9 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home (and livestreamed below).
