Jerry A. Miller, 64, of Mount Vernon OH, passed away Tuesday September 24, 2024, at his home with his loving family, in Mount Vernon. He valiantly fought pancreatic cancer for a year, his positive attitude never wavered as he gracefully worked every day, only going on hospice the day before he passed.
Jerry was born January 19th, 1960, in Lancaster, OH, to Ron Elsworth and Diana Gail {Miller} Miller. After many years as partners, Jerry married Michelle Chilcote on March 14th, 2019.
Jerry served in the US Army from 1977 to 1980. He loved working with his team for twenty-five years for the Westerville School District, especially grounds, keeping everything maintained for many years, he finally moved to second shift. He was a beautifully simple person. He was excellent at fixing things. He took pride in his home projects and enjoyed working with his hands. He was the go-to person to get a project done, like birdhouses for Noah and the family, including a two-story condo… He loved fishing, catch and release, he could not kill anything. He loved his truck, tractor and his tools. He loved anything that could fly, aviation of all kinds, especially military. He always took care of his family and friends, anything they needed was top priority for him.
Jerry will be deeply missed by his wife Michelle; children Sarah and her family, Noah and his wife Kirstin; his mother Diana Lisi from Chillicothe; sisters, Janet Salisbury and Mary Ann Lisi.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father and sister Joanne Lackey.
