Jerry Burns

Jerry Burns, 74, of Wooster, went home to be with Jesus, Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at Smithville Western Care Center.

Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster is assisting the family.  A Celebration of Life will be Sunday from 1 to 4 at the College Hills Retirement Community Center. Jerry was born June 29, 1948, in Apple Creek, Ohio to Brad and Mary {Sanders} Burns.

He married Peggy Parker on May 2, 1970. 

Jerry owned his own drywalling and painting business. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, golf, bowling, singing and listening to gospel music. Jerry loved Jesus and spending time with his family and friends. Quality time with loved ones meant the world to Jerry.

Jerry will be deeply missed by his wife; children Jason (Jenn Morris) Burns of Massillon, Lisa (Adam) Malone of Wooster; grandchildren Cohen, Grayson, and Easton; brothers Roy (Karen), Ronnie (Jackie), Larry (Connie), Kenny (Carol) Burns; sisters Eileen Rutkin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, sister Elaine Auston-Wilson and brothers Duane, Jay, Dorwin, and Danny.
