Jerry Lee DeBoard, 81, of Marengo, OH, passed away Monday, January 13, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at his home, in Marengo.
Jerry was born December 4th, 1943, in Mount Vernon, OH to Marvin and Mary {Calvert} DeBoard. He graduated from Butler High School in 1962 and soon went into the Army, stationed in Korea. He married Leona Bunker on October 29th, 1966, who passed away August 29th, 2013.
He was a Teamster semi-truck driver for 36 years. A Cleveland Browns fan he was disappointed this year… An Ohio state fan he was better pleased. He liked westerns especially the “Spaghetti Westerns.” He loved music from the 50’s and 60’s. He loved to tease his whole family, even more than westerns.
Jerry will be deeply missed by his children Brenda (Sherman) O’Bryan, Debbie (Michael) Waulk, Robert (Nancy) DeBoard; grandchildren Michael, Amber, Brittany, Stefani, Chania, Kaitlynn, Savannah and seven great-grandchildren and his sister Jody DeBoard and many nieces and nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Jack and James DeBoard and his sister Janice Moreland.
Memorial services will be Friday January 17, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home in Mount Vernon with Pastor Pam officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be held. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
