Joe D. Ritchey, 77, of Wooster, died Saturday April 13, 2013 at his residence.
Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. A celebration of life service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Grace Brethren Church with Pastor Randy Moomaw and David Lawson officiating. Joe was born October 17, 1935 in Rogers, Arkansas to Joe and Bonnie {Hatfield} Ritchey.
He married Janice Gasser on January 12, 1962.
He retired from LUK, worked for Landmark, and owned Ritchey's Restaurant in Smithville. He attended Grace Brethren Church.
He and his wife were involved with 4 different Euchre clubs. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren compete in their various sporting events. In his earlier years he enjoyed bowling and coaching softball.
Joe will be deeply missed by his wife; children Jennifer (Brian) Stichter of Warsaw, IN, Judy (Jon) Ressler of Wooster, Joyce (Kevin) Keener of Creston; grandchildren Julianne, Jacqueline, Zachary, Christopher, Trevor, Kolton, Kendra; brother Mark (Patti) Ritchey of Wooster; sister Lola (Tom) Mitchell of Arlington, TX, nieces and nephews.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents.
