John Hammond

John Christopher Charles Hammond, 33, of Ashland, died Sunday, February 25, 2018 at his residence.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 4th at 3 p.m. at Ashland Christian Church with calling hours one hour prior to the service from 2 to 3 p.m.  Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel, Ashland is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.   Memorial contributions may be made to Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. John was born July 26, 1984 in Cleveland to Dennis Charles and Nancy Ann {Bodnar} Hammond.

He graduated from the Ashland County – West Holmes Career Center.

John was a self-employed tree logger and was known to be a very hard worker.  He attended Grace Church of Ashland.  John enjoyed working, fishing, camping and anything outdoors.  He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.  John was loved by everyone and they will all miss his sense of humor.

John will be deeply missed by his mother of Ashland; paternal grandmother Ann Hammond of Cleveland; paternal uncles Tim (Sue) Hammond of Dayton, Joe Hammond of Cleveland, Dennis George Hammond of Indiana; paternal aunt Teresa Holbrook of Georgia; maternal uncles Kenneth (Judy) Bodnar of North Royalton, Joseph (Jennifer) Bodnar of Ashland; maternal aunt Eileen (Calvin) Wornley of Lorain; many cousins, nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his father, maternal grandfather and grandmother John Frank and Dorothy C. Bodnar, and maternal aunt Barbara Henderson.
