John Dillon, 71, of Millersburg, died Monday, June 14, 2021 at LifeCare Hospice, in Wooster.
Graveside services with military rites will be Thursday at 10:30am at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman with Pastor Tim Boucher officiating. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
John was born September 23, 1949 in Waynesville, MO to Lester and Birdie {Lenox} Dillon. He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.
He had been married to Rhonda Edwards. John worked as a lineman then a supervisor for Coaxial TV in Columbus for 25 years, laying some of the first cable in Ohio in the 1970’s. He enjoyed fishing, walking, hiking, and was a huge St Louis Cardinals fan. John loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his children Keith (Kate) Dillon and Monica (Caleb) Gayheart, all of Wooster; grandchildren Bryant Dillon, Gavin Dillon, Morgan Heflin and Brenden Dillon; brothers Tom and Tim Lenox and a sister Joanna Lenox.
John was preceded in death by a granddaughter Kayla Dillon and a brother Billy Lenox.
