John "Jack" Heiss, 76, of Marietta, died Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Heartland of Marietta. He fought a hard battle to make it to his 5oth wedding anniversary.
Jack was born February 12, 1939 in Waterford to William and Marcella {Rauch} Heiss.
He worked for Keystone Steel for 10 years and was the owner of J &W Brick and Block.
Jack will be deeply missed by his wife Dorothy; sons J. Edward (Delphia) Heiss and James Eric (Brenda) Heiss; grandchildren Eric, Shelby, Justin and Amber (Jeremy); great grandson Brennan; brothers Robert Heiss and Kenneth (Sharon) Heiss; sisters Edith Lauer, Mary (Charles) Campbell and JoAnn (John) Hickman and a host of many friends.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Billy Heiss, Ronnie Heiss, sister Rita Mae; and nephew Bobby Heiss with whom he was very close. The family would like to thank the staff of Heartland of Marietta for their compassionate and caring friendship.
Friends may call Monday, July 6, 2015 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-East Lawn Chapel, 27880 St. Rt. 7, Marietta. Funeral service will be follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
