John Daniel Martin, Sr.

John Daniel Martin Sr., 82, of Marietta, passed away Friday, April 18th, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family.

John was born December 13, 1942 in Rose Hill, Virginia to Neil and Goldie {Cox} Martin.

He married Kay Adams on February 17, 1985.

John worked as a truck driver for Ralph Anderson Logging. He loved NASCAR.

John will be deeply missed by his wife Kay; children John Daniel Martin Jr., Daniel Ray Martin, Paula Lee Martin, all of Maryland, Carrie Martin of Marietta; stepchildren Casey Waddell, Tammy Gaskins, Lori Lamp and Misty Hendrickson all of Marietta; many grandchildren and grandchildren; two sisters and three brothers.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.

Friends may call Tuesday, April 22nd from 2 to 5 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-East Lawn Chapel, 27880 St. Rt. 7, Marietta.
