John Wayne Norris

John W. Norris, age 67, of Wooster entered into rest on Wednesday July 31st, 2024 at Wooster Community Hospital after a period of declining health. His loving family was by his side.

He was born on April 21st, 1957 in Loveland, Ohio to Rowena and John C. Norris. He later relocated to Wooster, Ohio with his family.

John previously worked at Wil-Burt and made a vocation teaching welding at the Wayne County Career Center. He enjoyed photography, hunting, fishing, collecting guitars, and riding his motorcycle. He enjoyed watching all Ohio sports and spending time with his family.

John is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Mary Lou Norris, of Wooster; son, Justin (Amber) Norris, of Huber Heights; sisters Deb Koontz, of Kentucky, Donna (Bob) Selby, of Texas, Pam (Bob) Bowman, of Canton, and a brother, Jeff Norris, of Wooster and a Brother-in-Law Junior (Stacey) Coblentz, of Orrville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Kim Lesan.

It was John’s previous wish that there be no public services. There will be a private celebration of life with friends and family at a later date.
