John Leroy Schaffer of Jeromesville passed away on May 2, 2014 at Cleveland Clinic after a five year illness.
John was born on October 24, 1942 to Walter Clifford and Velma May (Lowe) Schaffer in Loudonville, Ohio.
He is survived by his wife Nancy, three sons, Jeff A. Wolf, Jerry R. Wolf and John M. Schaffer all of Jeromesville. Five daughters, Debbie J. (Stacy) Hange of Jeromeville, Shelley J. Hootman of Loudonville, Terri L. Ranstedt of IN, Darlene Carpenter of NC and Rebekah L. Schaffer of Jeromesville. Two sisters, Adabelle(Jack) Good and Alice Sanz, Four brother, Tom, Ted, and Gail of Loudonville and Robert of Mansfield. 19 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren.
John was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 1 sister, 1 daughter-in-law and a grandson.
At his request there will be no calling hours or services. Burial will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, which will be held at a later date.
