John Ward

John T. Ward, 52, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, died Wednesday, January 6 ^th , 2021 at Marion General Hospital.

John was born January 20, 1968, in Columbus, Ohio to Thomas and Barbara {Buell} Ward.

John was a 1986 graduate of Northridge High School.

He married Sherry Welsh on June 28, 2013.

John worked at the former American Showa in Sunbury. He was a member of the Sunbury Eagles and Amvets Post #95 in Mount Vernon. John was an animal lover and took great care of all dogs, cats, fish, lizards, and birds. He was a Harley Davidson enthusiast. John was a man of few words, but had a heart of gold, always willing to help others in a time of need.

John will be deeply missed by his wife Sherry Welsh-Ward, children Matthew Ward, Thomas Ward, and Blaire Skaggs; grandchildren Karson and Kaeden; parents; brothers Jerry Ward and Bryan Ward.

Friends may call Tuesday, August 31 from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home- Mount Vernon Chapel, Mount Vernon.  Memorial services will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
