Joseph V. Ball III, 78, of Wooster, died Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Wooster Community Hospital.

Joe was born February 20, 1940 in Zanesville, Ohio to Joseph V. II and Vivian {Duff} Ball.
He graduated from Warrensville Heights High School. He served in the United States Air Force for 4 years.
Joe managed Mann’s Laundry in Wooster Ohio for his father. He then became a real-estate agent for Silver Realty in Wooster. After several years of selling homes he then became a certified Real-Estate Appraiser. In 1979 he established JB Appraisal, which he owned and operated for 39 years. Joe was a past president of the Exchange Club and was involved with many community services. He was an avid drag racer at Dragway 42 in West Salem for over 30 years. Drag racing was his passion.
Joe will be deeply missed by children Barbra (Larry Moore) Pattin of Wooster, Robert “Bob” Joseph Ball of Clinton, Ohio; grandchildren Jeff (Jess Benson) Pattin, Hayden Ball; great-grandchildren Jensen and Lincoln Pattin; sister Joanne Deeks; and many nieces and nephews.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents.
