Joseph Walker

June 5, 1949 — February 6, 2015

Our beloved father, age 65, was lost on Friday the 6th of February 2015 to a long, brave battle with cancer. He is survived by his 2 daughters Angelia (Joshua) Oborne & Melody (Matthew) Milia, former wife of 37 years Linda Stubblefield, granddaughter Hailey Milia, siblings Byron (Dianne) Walker & Joy Neeley, and many nieces & nephews/extended family.
He was a native of Alabama, born to Robert and Dorris Walker of Guntersville, where he spent his youth and developed his wild sense of humor, growing into the amazing loving human being he was.
He graduated from New Hope High School in 1967 and went on to become a successful, hard-working business owner as well as a jack-of-all-trades: a barber, a self-taught electrician & plumber, a carpenter, and a musician.
He was blessed with an ability to light up a room by bringing a story to life or a testimonial of the latest natural remedy that he had discovered. He was such a kind and gentle man that was no stranger to jumping on the trampoline and swimming with the kids, blessed with the perfect set of shoulders to be carried on.
His true passion in life was Jesus Christ and telling everyone who would listen about God, having sent thousands of Bibles overseas.
These words pale in comparison to the memories of those who knew and loved this man who was known to take the shirt right off his back for anyone.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert (Dorris) Walker, 3 brothers Richard Walker, Robert A. Walker, & David Walker, 1 nephew Michael Neeley, and 1 great niece Skye Neeley.
The hole in our hearts will truly never be filled, but we will try each day to be more like the generous soul he was.
The Celebration of Life service will be held at Roberts Funeral Home, 9560 Acme Road, Seville, Ohio 44273 on Tuesday (2/10/15) at 2 pm
Calling hours to precede on Monday (2/9/15) from 5-8 pm
Officiant: Pastor Tony Hunt
Graveside Service to be held at High Point Cemetery in Albertville, Alabama. The date and time are to be determined.
