Joyce J. Mast, 82, of Smithville, died Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Wooster Community Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Friends may call today (Tuesday) from 4 to 7 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Services will be Wednesday at 11am at the Grace Church with Pastor Robert D. Joyce was born June 26, 1932 in Lincoln, NE to Alton and Lucinda {Troyer} Miller. As a young girl, they moved to Corry, PA., and lived there until she went to Goshen College. Joyce married Richard R. Mast on August 12, 1951 at her family home. He survives.
Joyce worked at the Wooster City Schools then was the treasurer for Green Local Schools for over 30 years. She was an active member of Grace Brethren Church in Wooster where she assisted with Communion, Women's ministries, as well as many other ministries. Joyce loved spending time with her family and her church friends.
Joyce will be deeply missed by her husband, Dick; sons Mike (Julie) Mast of Orrville and Rex (Gina) Mast of Wooster; grandchildren Andy, Rachel, Amy, and Mark; step-grandchildren Julie Fitzer and Valerie Rodi; great-grandchildren Leanah and Addison; sisters Shirley (Donnie) Meabon of North East, PA and Linda Knoblock of Elkhart, IN; sister-in-law Elsie Miller of Corry, PA; numerous nieces and nephews.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, brother Ellis Miller and brother-in-law Jack Knoblock.
