Joyce Treece

Joyce Eileen Treece, 92, of Wooster, died Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at The Avenue at Wooster.

Friends may call Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Beth officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com. Joyce was born October 21, 1929 in Wooster, Ohio to Vernard and Gertrude {Dilyard} Kistler.

She graduated from Shreve High School.

She married Norman Treece on December 22, 1977.

Joyce retired from Rubbermaid in 1989 after 27 years. She attended Cannan Freewill Baptist Church and Loudonville Church of the Nazarene. Joyce liked to crochet, attended Bible studies with the womens group, and travel the world.

Joyce will be deeply missed by her husband; children Stephen (Diane) Ghirardelli of CO, Timothy (Lois) Gardella of IN, David (Angela) and John (Amy) Clark both of Wooster; son-in-law John Johnson; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 6 great great-grandchildren; brother Richard (Alice) Kistler; and several nieces and nephews.

Joyce was preceded in death by her daughter Shirley Johnson, granddaughter Wendy Wise and sister Virginia Fishburn.
