Junior Gordon "JG" Kolbe, 93, of Wooster, died Sunday October 14, 2012 at Horn Nursing Home.
Services will be Wednesday at 3 pm at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
Junior was born May 12, 1919 in Huntington, OH to August and Lillian {Schibley} Kolbe.
He married Ruth on September 10, 1938. She died in 2003.
Junior was self-employed in the trucking business for 46 years, and was a member of the United Methodist Church in Wooster. Junior enjoyed restoring antique John Deere tractors and was a member of the Great Lakes GMC Motor Home Club.
Junior will be deeply missed by children Gary (Peggy) Kolbe of Manteno, IL, Bruce (Karen) Kolbe of Newark; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.
Junior was preceded in death by his wife Ruth, brothers Wesley, Myron, and Kenneth Kolbe and sister Pauline Anderson.
