Kathleen Nelson

Kathleen S. Nelson, 67, of Ashland, died Friday, April 5, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Kathleen was born April 23, 1951 in Ashland to Charles Henry and Ellen Jane {Hoover} Thompson.

She married Thomas Nelson on December 9, 1972.  He passed on October 14, 2007.

Kathleen worked as an insurance agent at Rice-Ramsier Insurance. She enjoyed playing Sudoku and loved to spend time with her grandchildren.

Kathleen will be deeply missed by her children Mary (Billy) Piatt of Ashland, Teresa (Johnnie Jr.) Edwards of Shelby, and Thomas (Melody Koviak) Nelson of Ashland; grandchildren Chad (Sarah) Nelson, Kory Zimmerman, Billi Piatt, Bradley (Autumn), Johnnie, David, and Angel Edwards, John (Tierra) Nelson, Rachel (Brandon) Jeffers; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters Beverly (David) Dull, Marjorie Gray, and Mary Oxender.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, brothers Charles and Donald Thompson, and sisters Betty Miller and Dorothy Mielke.

Friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel.  Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial park.   Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.   Memorial contributions may be made to the Ashland County Cancer Association at 1011 E.
