Kathy McCloud, 79, of Vienna, WV, left this world on Thursday, March 21st 2024 to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and her many friends and family in heaven. She was born December 18, 1944 in Irvine, Kentucky. Kathy’s calling from God led her to Pastor churches in Kentucky and West Virginia at the Church of God and the Church of God of Prophecy. She also broadcast a weekly Christian radio show on WDOC in Prestonsburg, KY.
She worked as a nurse’s aide and nurse in various hospitals and nursing homes in Kentucky and West Virginia.
Kathy was preceded in death by her mother and father, Mary B. and Roscoe Richardson, Versailles, KY; brothers Lyndon, Russell, Douglas, Eddie, Farrell, and Linville Richardson and sister Jean Florian. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Velina Phelps Marietta, OH; daughter Lisa Parsons and fiancé Brice Bultmann, Belpre, OH; six grandchildren: Sean Phelps (Samantha) Marietta, OH, Carrie Phelps (Richie Mahon), Crystal River, FL, Joshua Parsons (Danielle) Vienna, WV, John T. Parsons, Belpre, OH, Robert Parsons, Belpre OH, Peter Parsons (Brianna) Ripley, WV; seven great-grandchildren: Sterling, Sophia, and Silas Phelps; Fay Conde, Christopher, Elliot, and Magdalynne Parsons; brother, James C. Richardson, Shelbyville, KY; sister, Lillie Martin, Stanton, KY, and many nieces and nephews.
A private ceremony for the family will be held on Monday, March 25th at Roberts Funeral Home in Marietta, OH followed by a graveside service at East Lawn Memorial Park, Marietta, OH. Pastor Bob Alfred will officiate both services.
The family would like to thank her many doctors, nurses, and caregivers at Camden Clark Medical Center and in her home for their kindness and compassionate care. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
