Kathy Gwen (McIntire) Noffsinger, 60, of Orrville, died Wednesday, April 7 at Lifecare Hospice, in Wooster.
Friends may call Friday from 4 to 5 p.m. or Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Services will be Saturday, April 10 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with her cousin, Pastor Rick Henry, officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Kathy was born December 2, 1960, in Wooster to Everette “Mac” and Marilyn Joan (Anderson) McIntire.
She spent most of her career working as an administrative professional at the Wooster Community Hospital and retired from there in 2005. Kathy also spent a couple years driving school bus for Green Local School District before going to work for the hospital.
Kathy was a member of Smithville United Methodist church where she loved to help lead the youth group.
She was very crafty and enjoyed learning new crafting skills. Among these were stain glass and counted cross stitch.
Spending time with her family and friends was very important to her. She enjoyed the outdoors and spent many of her weekends at the lake with her family. The Saturday fishing trips and campground fishing tournaments were at the top of her favorites list. She also enjoyed playing softball, volleyball, and shooting pool while also supporting her children in sports.
Kathy will be deeply missed by her children Michael (Rachel) McIntire of Shreve and Dustin Noffsinger of Wooster; 7 grandchildren; brother Terry McIntire of Shreve; sister Pamela (Bill) Hartzler of Smithville; several nieces and nephews.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Jackie McIntire.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Orrville Pointe Nursing Home for their many years of care and compassion. They would also like to that LifeCare Hospice for comforting Kathy in her last days.
