Kelsey Thrasher

Kelsey R. Thrasher was born on Sunday, January 24, 1943 at home in Marietta, Ohio, the son of Elmer and Eva "Pearl" (Lacey) Thrasher. Kelsey passed away on Friday, August 26, 2016 in his home, surrounded by family, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He was 73 years of age.
Kelsey was a 1960 graduate of Marietta High School and went on to attend some college courses. He married Miss Linda Darnell on February 18, 1962 in a Marietta, Ohio wedding ceremony. Kelsey received training with the Dupont Company where he worked as an electrician, until his retirement in 2002. Outside of work, he enjoyed tinkering with cars. His passions were cars and racing. Kelsey was a faithful member of Forest Ridge Baptist Church.
Kelsey is survived by his wife, Linda Thrasher of Broken Arrow, OK; sons Michael and (Jessica) Thrasher, Broken Arrow, OK, and Kevin Thrasher, Dallas, TX; grandchildren Tabitha, Devin, and Dane; brother Larry (Marian) Thrasher, Marietta, OH; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Kelsey was preceded in death by his parents, son Kerry Thrasher, and brothers Merle, Ned and Hollie Thrasher.
A committal service is scheduled for 1:00 PM, Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Roberts Funeral Home - East Lawn Chapel, 27880 St. Rt. 7, Marietta in Marietta, Ohio with family greeting visitors from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park.
