Kenneth Eugene Boyer, 85, of Bucyrus, died September 20, 2015 at Bucyrus Community Hospital.
Kenneth was born July 20, 1930 in Glouster, Ohio to Harry Edward and Florence Mercedes {Mathias} Boyer.
Kenneth served in the US Army during the Korean War.
He married Darlene Gale Lowery on December 10, 1951, she died January 29, 2013.
Kenneth worked for the Marion Correctional Institution, where he retired in 1998. He was a member of the Kirkpatrick Church of Christ.
Kenneth will be deeply missed by his children Karen S. (Ed) Mellott of Richmond, VA, and David A. (Carolyn) Boyer of Hollywood, FL; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; his niece Trina Woods and many nieces and nephews.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife, son Dennis Boyer, great-granddaughters Brittany Knapp and Nyla Phoutenson, and 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Memorial services will be Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the Kirkpatrick Church of Christ with Don Kelley officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice or the Kirkpatrick Church of Christ, 5154 Columbus-Sandusky Rd. N. Marion, Ohio 43302.
